If your dining table already seats the group comfortably, a poker mat is a sensible first upgrade. Buy a complete table when you need a better base, a padded rail or a setup that can stay assembled. For either option, measure the room with the chairs in use before comparing finishes.

Choosing for six, eight or ten players
Treat the advertised player count as a seating claim to check. Ask whether it includes a separate dealer position. Then look at chair width, elbow room and where the legs sit beneath the table.
